What are Medical X-Rays?
Medical x-rays are used to generate images of tissues and structures inside the body.
Do I need an appointment?
There is no appointment needed for your X-ray.
Preparation for your appointment:
No appointment or preparation required.
Wear clothing without metal buttons, fasteners or zips.
Metal (jewellery, piercings, glasses, hearing aids) will need to be removed from the area being scanned.
Please advise our staff if you are pregnant.
What to bring:
Referral.
Medicare card.
Concession / DVA / Pension card (if applicable).
Workcover number / approval letter (if applicable).
Any prior scans (x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI), or reports of the area being scanned.
Arrival Time
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will allow us to check your details, complete any consent forms and change you into a patient gown if required for your examination.
