What is a Dental X-ray (OPG)?

 

A dental x-ray is an x-ray of the teeth which dentists use to look for impacted teeth, monitor growth and development of the jaws in relation to the teeth, and to identify potential problems with the temporomandibular joint.

What happens during my dental x-ray?

You will be asked to stand, biting on a mouthpiece. The machine will then rotate around your head, acquiring images of your teeth.

How long will it take?

A dental x-ray will take 5 minutes.

Do I need an appointment?

No appointment or preparation required.

How much does a dental x-ray cost?

Do you accept all referrals?

How do I prepare for my Dental X-ray ?

No appointment or preparation required.
Metal (jewellery, piercings, glasses, hearing aids) will need to be removed from the area being scanned.
